The Elizabeth EII is a 108ft custom charter vessel that has been servicing Queensland waters for more than 30 years. The EII has developed a strong reputation for providing some of the best charters to the Great Barrier Reef and Queensland’s many island destinations.
The EII is based out of Mackay Queensland but has the unique ability to operate out of any port along the Queensland coast. The vessel is clean, spacious and provides comfortable accommodation for up to 24. With its variety of deluxe creature comforts this vessel is more like a floating hotel than a boat. Featuring air-conditioning, catering and ensuited cabins with hot showers, it is the perfect mothership for any type of charter.
WHAT WE DO
Elizabeth E II Cruises specialises in providing customised, live-aboard charters. We welcome families, friends, and corporate groups alike to come aboard to explore, experience and discover the captivating beauty of Queensland’s spectacular coast.
We offer a variety of fishing, spearfishing, cruise, dive and snorkel charters and provide a unique opportunity to craft your own private cruise through the Whitsunday Islands or any number of other custom destinations depending on your needs. The Elizabeth E II is often used as an accommodation platform for corporate training, events, retreats, and conferences, or to provide mother shipping for research, film and photography adventures and expeditions.
WHERE WE OPERATE
Our charters travel primarily to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands. We also frequent many other Queensland coastal or island destinations up to and including the amazing Torres Strait Islands. We’ll happily take you off the beaten path to explore remote reef destinations that few get the opportunity to see let alone fish or dive.
Elizabeth E II Captains Shane Steele and Peter Bonanno are two Australian seafarers with a wealth of experience gained operating a variety of vessels throughout the waters of Queensland’s Great Barrier Reef. Notably, they have a combined 30 years of combined experience working aboard the decks of the Elizabeth E II.
Their love affair with the EE II has endured for over two decades beginning when Shane started working as a deckhand on the Elizabeth E II in 1994. Mark joined almost a decade later and in 2013 the pair were involved in the formation of Elizabeth E II Cruises, the owner-operated entity it is known as today.
HOW WE DO IT
We stick to a very simple recipe that makes the Elizabeth E II experience unique and successful for all. We combine our culture of friendly professional superior service with the adventure of exploring the Coral Sea!
Captain Shane was lucky enough to work under the original ownership of the vessel and to this day EE II Cruises continues to emulate its founding owners’ original passion for good seamanship, providing outstanding and friendly service. We pride ourselves on upholding our stellar reputation that has been long associated with this vessel.
The Result? An amazing, exhilarating and unforgettable charter experience! And isn’t that just what you’re after?
